The Hospitality and Food Section was established on the 12th October 1970 and was known as the Hotels, Restaurants and Food Section. Another major task of the Section is to establish European Works Council and to see that European Directives are implemented in every work place.
The Section, through the General Workers’ Union, also pressures the Government to amend Legal Notices concerning employees in the entrainment industries to improve their quality of life at the work place.
